For Green Potions, that journey began in 2007 when founder Amanda McGrath established Brisbane's first environmentally conscious cleaning business. While committed to using environmentally friendly cleaning products, Amanda quickly discovered that many of the "green" products available simply didn't deliver the results professional cleaners needed.

Rental cleans demanded products that worked quickly, effectively and reliably. Existing products often fell short, costing valuable time and increasing costs for clients.

So Amanda decided to create her own.

What started as a necessity soon became a passion. Through countless hours of research, testing and refinement, Green Potions was born in 2008-a collection of purpose-built cleaning products designed for specific cleaning tasks while providing a safer alternative to traditional chemical cleaners.

The name itself has a story.

One evening, while attending a function with a close friend, Amanda and her friend independently came up with exactly the same name-Green Potions. When they met later that evening and excitedly shared their idea, they realised they had both imagined the very same concept. It felt too perfect to ignore.

Inspired by the idea of 'Love Potion No.9", each Green Potion would have its own number, with every "potion" carefully formulated for a specific purpose.

But Green Potions is about much more than effective cleaning.

During her years in professional cleaning, Amanda witnessed firsthand the effects harsh chemicals can have on people's health. One experience, in particular, changed everything. Despite working in a well-ventilated property, her daughter suffered an asthma attack after exposure to a conventional oven cleaner. From that day forward, Amanda made a commitment to never use harsh chemical cleaning products again.

That commitment continues to shape every product Green Potions creates.

Our philosophy is simple:

Every formulation is devloped to tackle a specific cleaning challenge while helping create a healthier environment for familes, pets and workplaces.

As Green Potions continues to grow, so does our vision.

We are currently developing a children's cleaning collection that encourages young children to take pridce in cleaning up after themselves safely. Whether they've finished painting, playing or creating, they'll be able to wipe down their own tables and workspaces using products formulated from consumable ingredients. While these products are never intended to be eaten or drunk, they are designed with safety as the highest priortiy should accidental ingestion occur.

Looking to the futre, our vision extends beyond manufacturing.

We are establishing our own botanical gardens to grow many of the flowers and plants used to naturally fragrance our products. By growing, harvesting, extracting, formulating and packaging from the same property, we aim to produce exceptional products while maintaining the highest quality standards, reducing our environmental footprint and keeping our products affordable for Australian familes.

For us, sustainability isn't a marketing slogan-it's a commitement.
